About The Motet
Denver’s The Motet, founded in the late 1990s by drummer Dave Watts, blends funk, soul, jazz, disco, Afrobeat, and R&B into a rhythm-forward live sound. The group generally performs as a sizable ensemble, with drums and percussion, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocalists, and a horn section, making it a natural fit for dance-floor clubs, theaters, and festival stages.
