About Jimkata
Formed in Ithaca, New York, in the early 2000s, Jimkata combines indie rock songwriting with electronic production, dance grooves, and improvisational rock. The band has commonly worked as a compact rock ensemble built around vocals and guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards or programmed textures, and is well suited to clubs, theaters, and late-night festival slots.
