Galactic

About Galactic

Formed in New Orleans in the mid-1990s, Galactic blends funk, R&B, soul, jazz, hip-hop, and the city’s parade-ground rhythmic traditions. Usually built around drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and saxophone/harmonica, the group frequently works with featured vocalists and is well suited to clubs, theaters, and festival stages where its dance-oriented grooves can stretch out.
