About Dark Star Orchestra
Founded in 1997, Dark Star Orchestra is a Grateful Dead tribute ensemble that performs complete historical Dead set lists as well as shows drawn from the band’s broader repertoire. Its usual seven-member format recreates the layered Dead palette with guitars, bass, keyboards, two drummers, and shared vocals, making it a regular presence at theaters, clubs, and outdoor festivals.
